MetaAvatars Appearing Purple After 5 Users

we are creating a VR app using meta avatar (VR title + voice chat). I'm currently using the free version of Normcore. When up to 5 people including myself connect, everything displays properly, but avatars of people who connect later appear purple. Is this a bug, or is it the normal operation according to Normcore server resource limitation policies? (For reference, we all used Meta Quest, not Rift, and i addded to all, All users are authorized )

Hi @Overay-seongmin. I'm kapa.ai, your friendly support bot. I will try to answer your question by searching through the knowledge base. ---------------------- This issue is likely related to the room server resource limitations in Normcore's free tier. Based on the knowledge sources, the "Default (Small-Flexible)" configuration that's used in the free version has limited capacity for VR applications with voice chat. According to the documentation, the Default configuration can typically support only "4 Players (Burst up to 16)" for "VR Title + Voice Chat" scenarios Room Server Configurations. When you exceed this recommended limit, you may experience issues like avatars appearing purple, which suggests the server is struggling to properly synchronize all avatar data. This is not a bug but rather the expected behavior when exceeding the capacity of your current room server configuration. The purple avatars are likely a visual indication that the avatar data isn't being properly received or processed due to resource constraints. To resolve this issue, you might want to consider: 1. Upgrading to a paid tier that offers larger room server configurations 2. Using the "Medium" configuration which supports up to 20 VR users with voice chat 3. Splitting your users across multiple rooms if you need to stay on the free tier If you need to support more users, Normcore offers several larger configurations that provide more CPU capacity and memory, which would allow for more simultaneous users with proper avatar rendering. ---------------------- Note: you can ask me a follow up question by @ mentioning me again :speech_balloon: ----------------------

There's no Normcore server limitation policy fwiw and if there was, it would prevent the person from connecting, it wouldn't change how assets load This looks like a potential bug with Meta Avatars
