Pausing Normcore Service?
I clicked pause on the Normcore dashboard while I deal with a hacker who's taken down my backend, but players are telling me they're still connecting to the rooms and everything is working okay.

Pausing your Normcore app in the dashboard is intended to prevent new connections once your app has hit its usage limits or if you manually pause it. However, the knowledge sources do not provide detailed technical information about the exact behavior of the "Pause" function in real time, especially regarding already-running rooms or clients that are already connected.
From the available documentation, when an app key is paused, new connection attempts should be rejected with an AppPaused disconnect event. However, it is possible that existing connections (clients already connected to rooms before the pause) are not immediately disconnected and can continue to function until they disconnect naturally or the room server shuts down. This would explain why your players are still able to connect if their sessions were already active, or if there is a delay in the enforcement of the pause for new connections.
If you need to immediately stop all activity, you may need to take additional steps, such as shutting down your backend or contacting Normcore support for urgent intervention. For more details on disconnect events and app key states, see the documentation on DisconnectEvent subclasses.

pause takes up to an hour. we cached active app keys to ensure people can connect quickly
the cache is reset hourly
