Yeah issues with the list of views is exactly what my guess would be. That list can cause trouble if you're not careful. The biggest problem we've had with that is that we put RealtimeTransforms in persistent data storage, and then later I recreated a prefab of that object with an editor script, and creating the RT component programmatically resulted in a different order in the list of views. That difference in order broke the entire room

Interesting... I am not sure how things are getting into this state. We are not doing any programmatic creation and manually auditing the project showed quite a few prefabs with this issue. Going to be a pain to clean up.

this is a unity bug that we’ve reported. their deserialization callbacks are guaranteed to be on the main thread, but in the last year they added some threading to their deserialization that can cause them to fire on a background thread

I don’t know why but null references trigger unity to start executing stuff on a background thread and the ones in realtime views are resulting in callbacks into our code that try to update state in the editor

Also, how do I make the voice chat work on the Quest? Dragging the prefab works on PC but not on quest, I assume I need to grant access to mic on quest when the game begins, but how do I do that?

not something supported by Normcore? It seems to work at first but shortly after sending something that uses the custom serializer the Realtime instance just disconnects with no log output indicating why.

So I thought I had my component/model setup but now I'm getting "Timeout while attempting to connect to scene views" referring to my player's realtime view and I can't figure out why. I saw someone saying that this was a result of views not existing in the datastore or scene. I can see that it is still in the scene so does anyone know how it would have been deleted from the datastore?

Update: I think it must have something to do with how I've set up my RealtimeComponents/RealtimeModels because when I try to connect to the room I've been testing on for the last week, it doesn't have a problem connecting to the view of the class I most recently converted to a RealtimeComponent, but connecting to a brand new room, it fails to connect to the view. Perhaps this is because the previous version exists in the datastore and isn't being overwritten? Is there something I need to be doing to make sure it updates the components on the datastore?

but def open up a ticket and we can help you out. if you're getting disconnected it's def the server recognizing malformed data and cutting you out so you don't corrupt the datastore
